It was a fluke. That's all.
Just kidding...she didn't sleep quite as well in her crib last night as she did the night before. Still not bad though. I know it's a process, so I'm going to be patient (as well as very tired) in the meantime.
A little strange happening from last night: She woke up at 3:15, where I fed her and put her back down. Anytime I try to get her back to sleep after 3am is a gamble. I nervously climbed back into bed around 3:45...and then around 4 I hear Buddy doing his "call of the wild" meows. Except...he wasn't in our room...he was in Millie's! I could hear him on the monitor, and sure enough, when I clicked on the video, he was right next to her crib giving it all he had. I jumped out of bed and called his name; he came running while continuing to meow at the top of his lungs. In the words of Ren & Stimpy, "you eeeediot!". I could've strangled him. Strangely enough, Milla slept right through it all, so I let him live. These are the most confusing times: a piece of silverware clinking 8 rooms away will wake her up but a wailing cat right next to her bed won't?!?! What the...
Poor Buddy is getting pretty desperate for attention these days, and he'll do just about anything to get it. This was weird when he jumped up in the chair with us and laid down on Milla. She wasn't sure what to think about it, so she just stayed still and took in his closeness.
And in Beansie news: she ate another bag of chocolate. Blerg. I went to Walmart Tuesday and came back with a fussy baby, so I left bags of food strewn around the kitchen floor all afternoon. This was the day we met Amanda and Cayden at the playground. When we got back, there was an empty bag of dark chocolates on the floor, torn to shreds. She ate the entire bag, including the foil wrappers. Jeez. Louise. Not again. Off we go to the vet, where they immediately forced her to throw up the entire bag of chocolate. Since I caught it so quickly this time, none of the chocolate had really gotten into her system. Hallelujah. We all were back home within the hour. These bags of chocolate are getting pretty expensive though.
