Overwhelmed

You should see my to-do lists...yes lists, as in plural.  The birthday party is fast-approaching and I'm feeling a tad overwhelmed by the amount of stuff that needs to be done.  I've been working on making some of the decorations myself, and I'm not really a crafty gal, so this has been a bit much for me.  And the cake has become a problem.  I know the cake I want, I just can't find anyone to make it.  Every place I have called is either on vacation that week (it is 4th of July week) or they refuse to color their cake...they can color their frosting, but not their cake.  I want a rainbow cake (not a cake in the shape of a rainbow).  I've seen it on pinterest; you know, that amazing one with all the different colored layers of cake with white buttercream inbetween each layer?!  It can be done, I just don't want to have to be the one to do it.  Arrrggghhhhh.  Plus, it has been a madhouse around here with workers here every day to build our sunroom...not to mention the usual madness of an absurd amount of dishes and laundry, one nasty computer virus, contract tax work, and a dog with diarrhea.  Sigh...every time I start feeling frenzied, I try to take a minute to be thankful these are the "problems" I'm worrying about every day and not something that could be considered real problems.  I'm not going to go all existential yogi here, but I do think it is important to retain perspective.  I forget that about 10 times a day though.  Being a mom, on top of everything else, has put my time management skills to the test, and right now, I feel like I'm failing.  Even this blog post is feeling a little rambly...this is guaranteed to make you smile though: http://youtu.be/8e7K1u7TlGQ This is a new game we've come up with called the "buzzer game".  Part two of the buzzer game:  http://youtu.be/lCbGGgwcWg8

And this...is the story of Buddy's daily life: http://youtu.be/AjzqZZj3P4E

He gets her back by doing stuff like this...I was feeding her in the rocking chair and he walked across her and then just parked it.  He's so weird sometimes....and she was a little weirded out.

We started our "Birds" class at The Little Gym this week, and guess who is in class with us?!
 Cayden!!

I do not understand her obsession with this chair lately.  For the past few months, we couldn't get her to sit in that chair for more than a couple of seconds...now she happily plays in it and climbs all over it.

This absurd mess is the barricade around the dog water bowl.  I'm sure we'll only have to leave it like this for the next two years.

Have I mentioned how much she loves Buddy?!
