I had my 16-week doctor's appointment on Friday, which should have just been a checkup and a listen to the heartbeat. However, Dr. Hinton must've been in a good mood because she said "let's do an ultrasound and see if we can tell the gender"(!). The technician had no doubt in telling us we are having a girl! And even with my own untrained eyes, I could also make out those girl parts since I was used to seeing them in Millie's previous ultrasounds. Thus, it looks like Miss Millie is going to have a sister!!
(I cannot figure out how to get my picture turned landscape...annoying...sorry)
Ugh...preggo pics. I cannot explain how uncomfortable these make me. I'm fine having my pictures taken with friends & family in a natural setting but something about just whipping out a fake smile on command makes me cringe. My mouth starts twitching, and if left for too long, I feel like Chandler on Friends. However, I know I will want to have some pictures of myself pregnant...so here you are, a compromise where I'm not actually having to look into the camera. Blerg.
See..here I'm having to pretend that JKK just said something funny. Ridiculous.
The past two weeks have been a complete turnaround. No more nausea and way more energy. I have enjoyed feeling more like myself. I've also started feeling the baby move this past week, which is a couple of weeks earlier than I felt it with Mills. I've been told this would happen since I know what it feels like this time. It is such a reassuring feeling. ;) What isn't reassuring is that I appear to have negative willpower. I now have to make rules, such as "you are not allowed to buy Pringles at the grocery store. ever. again.". Have you had those dill pickle extreme pringles?? No?!?! Then don't judge me because those bastards are amazing. We're having a girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yay!! Two precious girls. And, you look fantastic! Glad you are feeling better :)
