KK Goes to Hollywood

I went to LA for exactly 48 hours this weekend to see my cousin, Rachel, get married.  She was the most glamorous bride I've ever seen..fact.  I had the most fun and didn't worry at all about my girls, since they were with JKK the entire time.  I left at 7pm Saturday evening and returned home at 7pm last night, which also happened to be JKK's birthday; sadly, there wasn't much time left for celebrating when I got home last night.  I have vowed to make it up to him. ;)

I took tons of pics, but there are too many to post here (though it won't stop me from trying).  Most of the good ones have already been seen on Instagram and/or Facebook anyway.  Here is the weekend in a snapshot:

Still on CST, I woke up extremely early Sunday morning, so I shared the love by texting others to get up and take me to the beach for breakfast.  Larry, Dina, Blaker, mom, and I drove along the coast and found a pretty pier in Malibu to take in the ocean and have breakfast outdoors.  It. Was. Lovely.
Mi madre and my roomie <3
Possibly one of my fav pics of all time :)
Those waves caught us off guard...and it was cold!
We got back in time to watch Rachel and the other ladies finish getting ready...
Vic. Gorgeous. Always.
va va voom...am i right?!
My beautiful date!
The bride & groom left us all some sunglasses to wear (each pair had "Noah loves Rachel" printed on the side) during the ceremony, since it was an open-air venue...and that place was stunning.
great pic of Dina & Blaker
I made Dalton stand where Rach & Noah would be standing so I could get the backdrop (& he just looked so cute in that bow tie).  This pic does not do it justice.  It was a living wall of succulents and gorgeous greenery.
Here comes the bride wagon: Vic, Lauren, Oliver, and Dalton...just too adorable for words.
Ta-Da!  The Mr. and Mrs. are hitched!  It was beautiful.  and meaningful.  and thoughtful.  I just loved it.
Congrats R & N!
So happy for this gal...very much in love
Let the party begin!

and a couple of stolen pics because they are so great!

I had such a fabulous time, and I love to spend time with my family like this.  I have an amazing family, and I miss them all constantly.  Nothing else would've convinced me to leave my little Syddles so soon.  JKK said the kiddos were great while I was gone and the weekend went well.  Thankfully, Aunt Coco and Bubba came out to keep them company for one of the two days I was gone.  I left them with a massive cookie cake to munch on...happy birthday to my love!
It must be true about how important it is to get away and recharge your batteries.  I was so thrilled to be back home and doing the usual routine with the girls today.  Thank you to everyone that made this trip possible. :)
