Currently

It's been a busy February so far:  Millie had a short-lived soccer career, Valentine's Day parties at school, hosting TWO book club meetings, R+F team retreat in LA, JKK's busy at work & looking for us a new place to live, PLUS Nana started her new job at Walmart...living the dream here!

Millie has decided she HATES soccer.  After a few games of forcing her to go and stand out there pouting, we quit trying.  She even went to play for the other team during one of the games because she liked the girl coach better.  Confusing for everyone.  I don't want to keep forcing it right now.  Will just try again in the future.
We had some fun on the sidelines though...

It's hard to get anyone out of the house without extra accessories on these days.  It's a fight to figure out which ones aren't choking/strangling hazards.  Girl problems.
Millie exhibits wonderful behavior at school.  This is the fourth time she's filled up and excellent behavior sticker chart at school this year!  She loves picking a prize from the treasure chest.  Check out grumpypants photobombing.
They LOVE watching YouTube.  Especially these really weird videos of human hands opening cartoon-wrapped, chocolate eggs with toys hidden inside.  Uh-huh, you heard me right.
Girl time!  Bekah and her 9 year old daughter, Lena, came to visit for a weekend.  The girls couldn't get enough of Lena.  It was a great visit.
Borrowing Asher's Mexican wrestling mask.  Way weird.
my big girl has a few freckles on her nose <3
When mommy is away, daddy is great about changing things up!

New smile.  New leotard.  She flounced around especially flamboyantly in this one.  Everyone was laughing.
My piddy.  She loves her pacis.  I keep telling her we'll have to get rid of them when she turns 3.  She just shakes her head no. :(
Syd is so silly and talkative and funny.  She's also demanding and needy and whiny.  The art of being two years old.  She's always saying "I'm super big hungry".  She uses "him" instead of "he" and I refuse to correct her.  We were outside with the neighbors and the baby was crying, she kept saying "him needs his paci!".  Getting dressed in the morning is especially difficult since she wants only clothes that allow her to twirl.  She would prefer to be in a princess dress at all times.  If I put on pants, she says "NO!  I can't twirl!".  It's sweet and exhausting.  I love her quirks.
This diva has her own set of issues.  She's my big girl and seems so grown up.  She loves all things girl right now: makeup, dresses, crowns, heels, jewelry.  She loves to dance and sing and do cartwheels.  She adores pink.  She loves the pinkalicious books, which gave me the idea to make her some pink pancakes last weekend....she loved it!  She's also not great at minding right now and is getting pretty sneaky.  She's also really into pushing Syd's buttons.  It can get pretty loud and whiny around her.  But when it's just her and I, she's the sweetest thing in the world.  She still likes to be picked up and snuggled.  She's been climbing in our bed early in the morning, and so far, we don't care.  It's our special time with her.  Our big girl.
I helped at her Valentine's party last week, and she was very clingy.
Loved seeing her with all of her friends though.  It's a sweet age.  For the girls, at least. ;)
Huge milestone:  the first year she's written her name on her valentines.  I think it's pretty adorable that they are all different.  She was proud of herself.
Valentines party craft
Syd doesn't get parties at MDO, but she still gets to dress up.  We were able to use these shirts for two years in a row!  It's a valentine's day miracle!
We have had an extremely mild winter.  My kind of winter.  Thankful for the occasional warm day to play outside!
Rainbows are cool.  Millie knows the colors by heart now.
Syd loves to show me her artwork when I pick her up from school.  Right there in the hallway where everyone is tripping over us. ;)  This sheep was pretty cute though.
And when it's too cold to go outside...there's always Chick-fil-a

Weekend jump time with both daddy & mommy at the trampoline park!  Sweet memories.
Something I hope my girls learn the importance of:  GIRL TIME.  I'm a busy gal with lots of interests, and I make time for these things.  I'm thankful JKK is so understanding and for my mom's help babysitting because this month has been a doozie!  I hosted two different book clubs at my house this month, and one of them was a super fun macaron-making class.
Then I flew off to Laguna for a night with Midge.  That place is heavenly.
Then we went to our R+F team retreat in Santa Monica.  I'm so grateful to be involved in this business.  Not only are some of my best friends my coworkers but also lots of family!  Candace, Lacy, Rachel, & Aunt Cathy (not pictured) were also at this retreat.  But there is a lot of family that works the biz that wasn't there.  It's pretty much the coolest to live in 2016.  Take note, Mills & Syd...because you'll be in the biz before you know it. ;)
