This is her "when you miss school for a couple of days and have to do your work at home" face ;)
Some of my college girlfriends came to visit during the coldest, nastiest weather weekend of the year. Reagan and Bekah and some of their kiddos (Bek left the boys at home) came to snuggle down for a few days and lounge. The best!
We watched movies and played games and even did some arts and crafts!
Bekah even helped Millie wiggle her loose tooth
Lena is the best with kids. She's going to be such a good momma some day.
Before they left, we took them roller skating! We needed to get out of this house for a bit. So fun!
Back in our routine: Millie gets iPad while Syd dances.
Sadly, since this picture was taken, Syd has decided to quit dance. It makes me so sad. She has the best time in her classes, I can't understand why she no longer wants to go. :( My heart is kind of broken over it. I was really looking forward to watching her in the recital.
She is becoming such a good speller!
New Year's resolutions:
This cracked me up: to not complain for a hole year?! Yes please! ;)
her math has come so far this year!
Check out her adorable cowgirl...with braces!
Millie's 2nd grade class - Millie is far right on her knees with a green mask
Syd's preschool bestie McCall had a birthday party. We all miss seeing this kid! I spent so much time with these two last year...I really miss those times. Precious memories of such a sweet little age.
Syd's New Year's resolutions:
Syd's schoolwork: check out this wicked cool volcano with lava coming out!
site words!she has super neat handwriting
she made a beautiful little dragonfly at school - art class is her favorite
sweet girl <3 brushing barbie's hair in the tub
I've finished some more embroidery projects lately with all of the road trips - this one is for Coco's office because she says she tells the students this all the time!
I made this one for Kendyl's birthday - peace!
Speaking of Kendyl...this 15 year old now has her driving permit!
Friday assembly is called Rise and Shine! It was crazy hat day and we don't have any crazy hats.

Big news: Millie finally lost one of her top front teeth! It's been wiggly for so long! She was sleeping over at Nana's when it happened, so she brought the tooth home for the tooth fairy to pick up the next night. She pulled it herself and was very proud! Video: Millie just pulled her tooth!
It really changes her look. Such a big girl.
Syd is sticking with multiple accessories lately ;)
Millie joined the Diamond Dance Crew at her school! They perform hip hop routines at games and school events.
We came to watch her first performance at half time of the middle school basketball game. It was awesome! So happy she's having a good time with it. I struggle with knowing when to push them into sticking with something and knowing when to let it go. Neither one of them has found a true passion for anything yet, but I feel like we should still keep trying. I want them to try everything to see what they like. Millie says she'll try basketball next fall, which really excites me. They are both still into gymnastics, but definitely not at a competitive level. They have fun going once a week and that's it. Fine by me, as long as they keep an open mind and continue to try new things!
