Halloween and stuff

Lots of outings with Halloween!  One evening, we went to the Springdale square for some trick-or-treating with neighbors Bradley and Marlowe.
Cookie decorating with neighbor Sydney
Annual tradition, still delicious
Syd joined a Girl Scout Daisy troop and couldn't be having more fun.  She loves earning badges and the meetings are fun!  She got second place in musical chairs and was such a good loser.  She's sweet to her friends.
Most of the time, it feels like Millie has turned into a teenager.  She's such a cool cat.
the cutest
telling jokes and crossing her eyes ;)
Jasper overseeing nightly homework.  He is ALWAYS right in the middle of everything.
scaring everyone at school again with this shirt (& blue vampire teeth in her mouth)
Halloween night turned out to be absolutely freezing!  So instead of the costumes we bought, the girls wore their snow leopard onesie jammies.  Super cozy and also super cute.

I love our annual tradition of eating with the Cruiks and then heading out for some trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Beckham was a ninja and Cayden had real issues walking in that dinosaur costume.  But it was so funny to watch!
Syd H. also came with us and she was a descendants character!
Special drinks in hand, these three took the kids while I stayed warm at home with my mom...handing out candy.  I hate the cold, so this was just fine with me.
On a chilly November Saturday, we visited Turpentine Creek with our neighbor friends.  Oh how we love that place.  In fact, we were supposed to take our RV out and camp there the night before with everyone, but we backed out due to the cold.
It was a beautiful morning to see the big cats though.  They are much more active in the cold weather.  And we learned a lot on our tour of the facility!

Afterwards, we helped make play toys for the big cats.  Marlowe is a girl scout and she earned an animal habitat badge for this...
...so I got Syd a badge too!  She worked hard and did a good job.
The week of Halloween is always red ribbon week at their school.  However, this year an F2 tornado came through and hit the area around the school really hard!  Not much structural damage but tons of trees and power lines down.  It looked like a war zone and school was out for three days.  Thus, the school rescheduled red ribbon week for mid-November.  Syd demonstrating crazy hair and socks day pretty well!
Amber Lanning pics are always fun!  We took them in front of some fun bright wall murals in Springdale.  She always gets some good ones.  Syd took awhile to warm up, but boy did she warm up!

Carpooling on pajama day.  Everyone brought a cuddly thing!
Sometimes Sawyer thinks Syd is her cuddly thing ;)
Fall Carnival time at their school!  Syd chose a pretty leopard costume this year.  She originally chose a tootsie roll costume, which was hilarious.  But it was too itchy and had to go back.
Millie chose an adorable voodoo doll costume.  Unfortunately, she hated the feeling of the eye makeup and it turned into a big meltdown.  Tears and all.  Sorry Mills, but you look super cute.

Mills school dance group performed at the fall carnival and it was so fun to watch!  She always enjoys herself and does such a good job.  Proud of her.  This managed to get her out of her funk too.
Daddy and Syd always stick together at the carnival.  Millie runs off with friends and mommy works the class booths.
School besties: Dylan, Mills, Sage, Sophia, and Averie
these two are always excited to see each other
JKK and I went to a wedding out of town, so the girls had a sleepover with Nana.  Weddings make the best date nights <3
We met up for sunday brunch the next morning, which was lovely.
The girls wore their heels and fancy hats, of course. Ooh la la
Some days we get beautiful fall weather; can't help but want to be outside.  Fancy heels required.
Jasper's favorite kitty spa
Introducing the girls to Super Nintendo, kinda frustrating ;)
Gah, another mole removal.  This one was deep.  Syd started crying when she saw the stitches.  She said she felt like I was really hurt.  Sweet girl.
