And the highlight of the year so far....Nana rescued a puppy!! Her name is Hazel and she's fabulous. Already so loved by our family, what a sweet girl. <3
She's still very young and tires out easily

Happy Mother's Day to ME! And to my mom! And to Mimi! And all of the other mothers in the world. The girls and I stayed the night with Nana to spend some time with her. We had a margs and guac night - my favorite! The next morning, we came home and the girls gave me some lovely cards.
So creative! And then we just hung out as a family and ordered in some yummy Ruth's Chris! The girls are a FAN of steak.
Dipping our toes back into society at a turtle's pace. We went to Emilia's bday party with just a few friends.
Trampoline and burgers - felt great to be with friends again!
Still going strong with Girl Scouts - they even made slime at the last zoom meeting

Hazel's first visit to our house! She kept Nana on her toes...it's like having a toddler again!
We picked up our belongings from the girls' school and found a treasure-trove of artwork! Millie's ceramic princess still needs to be painted, but isn't she pretty?

We've turned the office into an art gallery for the time being!
Millie's class zoom was an interesting one...the whole class got to see three firefighters come in our entryway and tell us to evacuate. High drama stuff. ;)
We asked them to come check out our house because we have been smelling gas since our new roof was put on. They asked us to wait in the car while they checked it out, and sure enough, there was a leak! Yikes! They shut off the gas until we could get someone out there to fix it. In the meantime, we could return to the house just with no hot water or gas appliances working.
Lily DID NOT like the firemen in full gear and gas masks - it was a bit freaky!
Syd loved getting presents in the mail and opening them! She was SO EXCITED for her bday this year!!
ONE DAY!!
Last night as a 6 year old! Millie was almost as excited as Syd! We let them have a sister sleepover...sweet girls, we love them so much!
