Summer Bucketlist Begins & the Fourth of July

Now that school is out, we get to spend a lot more time with the kittens!  It's hard to see, but there are four left that haven't been adopted yet and they are all in this chaotic mess somewhere.  The girls get so sad when one of them leaves but we are all happy for them too!  It's bittersweet.

Our precious Guacamole has been a fave (did I mention how the girls named them after snacks?)
Bus overload!  beep beep
Still not too old to play dress up
monkeys
Fab Four together to celebrate Beck's 8th birthday!
We swam and played some baseball, of course.  He's really gotten into baseball this year!  I make him play with a wiffle ball when he's throwing it at my girls. ;) He's got an arm on him!
Karate Kid
Marking the Amazeum off our bucket list!
There is a beautiful bird sculpture out front with light up worms in the ground. I like it.
Speaking of art...the girls went back to Arkansas Arts Academy one last time this summer for a week of art camp!  They loved it and made some really cool stuff!
Trampoline Park is a great energy burner when it's too hot to play outside
They turn around and fall backwards off of these ledges and I don't like it.

Emilia and Olivia came over for splash pad and dinner on the square

We took Sawyer over to see the kittens one day after art camp.  She was one of the very first to meet them when they were born while I was away at space camp!
These kittens were such good sports...Slim Jim never minded being toted around in this bag.
Ohhhhhh Lexi.  Our wonderful long-time babysitter is moving to Colorado for grad school, and we are so sad about it!  This is her last night to babysit and she took some pics for me.  She has been such a good example for the girls of how to be a babysitter but also she has her sh*t together in college: she's responsible and studious, punctual and trustworthy....and just so kind and fun.  We are so lucky to have had her in our lives for the last few years!

She let Millie ride an electric scooter.  Glad we didn't know about that until after ;)
While they were out getting ice cream, it started to pour.  Syd cracks me up so much lately.  She is genuinely funny.
The "after" picture.  Hahaha.
And then Lexi sent me all of these pictures and videos from over the years and I may have cried a little.  The best feeling when you know they loved your kids too.
This made me laugh.  It says on the picture:
Sydney: I just do this when I'm cold.
Lexi: ya Syd, same.

They dance partied so much over the years!
This was the SWEETEST video of Syd brushing her hair and talking to her in her tiny toddler voice.
Millie singing along to our fave movie (at the time)
Baggy gives a mean stinkeye when she wants to be let inside from the balcony.
Last day of AAA art camp and the girls get to wear their tie-dye shirts they made at camp!  Love them! Also, don't you love Syd in a high ponytail?!
Drop off: in the best moods, we stopped at Starbucks for frappacinos
Pickup: Syd was so pissed when she got in the car.  One of her biggest pet peeves is when another human messes with her art.  Well, apparently Sawyer was a bit handsy trying to help Syd finish a piece.  Ha!  I'm like "Syd just tell them to back off!" Instead, she just quietly seethes. ;)
Beautiful job, ladies!

Ahhhh, Friday relaxation before the holiday festivities begin!
Time for some neighborhood fireworks!
Mr. Paul and Louie helped manage the situation.  A fun night for everyone!
Nana took the girls to Chuy's for a day date!
Fake nails are all the rage these days...
Stylish Mills
On the actual fourth of july, we maintained our tradition and hung with the Cruiks!  Mixing it up a bit, we went to their house for early morning donuts, mimosas, and swim time.  Trying to beat the heat!
No complaints here.

We all went our separate ways for several hours, then met back up in downtown Bville.  Syd chalked up her hair in red and blue - so cute!
First a little splash pad

Fab Four growing up!

Then a little spark cafe

Then we did a few of our own fireworks (illegally) in a parking lot close to our house

The kids LOVE to catch the parachutes
Ack, I can't watch
Finally, we headed to the top of the parking deck to watch the Bentonville show!  A great idea and a full day of fun.  We all were home by 10, thoroughly spent.
Early morning trip for baby sister to the vet.  You can see she was thrilled.  She's such an animal at the vet...don't even recognize her behavior.
Ohhhhhh snap, it's someone's birthday tomorrow!  An early birthday toast to Mills with a Shaina playdate!
