Today was Millie's first eye exam. John's eye doctor. is involved in a program called infantSEE
http://www.infantsee.org/; she mentioned it to him last time he had a checkup and when he told her I was pregnant. It is a free program where eye exams are given to children, ideally, between 6 and 12 months old. The purpose is early detection of eye conditions to ensure healthy future vision of the child. It was pretty painless and very quick. The eye dr. said Millie was far-sighted but that almost all babies are, and it should clear up by age 5. Nothing else to report; we aren't supposed to take her again until age 3. Oh...and the doc said that sunglasses are super important. Apparently, just like skin damage, the majority of eye damage is inflicted before the age of 18 because young eyes aren't able to block the sun's rays as well as older eyes can.
unrelated to the eye exam, but really, have you ever seen such wicked bedhead?! it has been pretty fierce lately with her hair getting much longer. ;)

Cayden came over earlier this week for a playdate...can't you just tell how much he loves Millie messing with him?!
