Yesterday was Bubba's birthday, and thankfully, we got to see him this past weekend to celebrate. Saturday, John & Colleen took him on a little field trip to Pea Ridge, a local historic civil war battlefield. Millie & I stayed home so that she could nap while I made dinner. It was a glorious spring day, and it sounds like they had a great time touring the grounds. Bill loves history, so this was right up his alley.

Afterwards they came home, where we celebrated properly with some birthday drinks, lasagna, and german chocolate cookie bars. Millie gave him plenty of birthday lovin', as well. These recent trips that Colleen and Bill have made out to see us have really paid off; Millie is so relaxed around them and has no problem letting them hold her and play with her.
