The school year is almost over, and I'm actually kind of excited about it this year. Looking forward to taking the summer off and not rushing to be anywhere. I'm not the only one...

I had to get creative with before school pics this year. We were often grumpy getting ready to leave for school, but the car ride always turned everything around for us. Trying to spot our favorite cow, Betty, or singing along with the radio, or just discussing what we were going to do after school...I'm so thankful they always walk into school in a good mood! Parking lot pics are just fine with me.
Ohhh Syd. She's soooo proud of her artwork. Always. And she gave me this flower for Mother's Day. She's the sweetest.
Speaking of Mother's Day...we celebrated at the chips place, of course!

She enjoyed learning about insects, and she's terrified to be around any real bugs. She came and got me out of the shower the other day....bawling...because a fly was in the bedroom. If she sees a gnat, she screams "bee!" and ducks for cover. It's getting a little out of hand, but I'm not sure what to do about it. I'm currently ignoring it, and hoping she doesn't hurt herself in the process of running from a flying insect.

Super sweet Mother's Day card. It was actually really cool this year because it was the first year she understood that it was my day. She kept giving hugs and was such a sweet girl.
The next day was business as usual. When I made her do something she didn't like, she made sure to say "it's not mother's day anymore!". Which I guess meant she didn't have to be nice to me anymore. She has said it all week. :( Can't believe how sassy she can be sometimes...
But then look at this face and how is it possible that this is the same sassypants?! She had a cool rainbow party at school today!
