Last Sunday, we had the chance to do something really cool...go see the Okee Dokee Brothers in concert! A friend gave us one of their CDs as a baby gift for Syd and it became a family favorite. They play bluegrass type music for kids. So many memories of nighttime naked time in Syd's room with this playing. Those nights in Syd's room pretty much saved us that winter...watching them dance around to this music. <3 Now we have all of their albums and play their music when we go camping.
I sort of choked up when they started playing at the concert; it just brings up some intense feelings of gratitude. Grateful for their wonderfully lovely music, grateful for my kids and their health, grateful for our little family of four. Pretty sure I enjoyed the concert more than the others, but the girls did great and I think they loved it too.
That weekend was also Artosphere Festival in Fayetteville. Super cool huge animal creations attached to bikes in the parking lot. Of all the animals, Millie asked to have their picture taken with the bat. Millie has a dark side ;)
