Random November Stuff

Millie is of the age of sleepovers!  Sage turned nine with a fun crafting party and group sleepover!  All the gang was there: Dylan, Sophia, Millie, and Sage (missing Kennedy to round out the school group).

The girls enjoyed watching Beyoncé's Homecoming documentary with me.  Man, that girl can dance! It's so fun to watch.
Adding patches weekly!
Millie has been doing so well in school.  Her teacher does a great job of keeping it fun and adding challenges, complete with prizes.  They do gumball math and are rewarded with gum when they move up to a new level.  On their state testing, she gives out prizes if they beat their last score by a certain amount.  It really motivates Millie!
I love the way Millie draws herself <3
One of our neighbors had a jewelry party recently, and for once, I took the girls with me.  They are finally old enough to behave themselves, and it just so happens that there was plenty for them to pick from too.  The neighbor's daughter is into jewelry making, and Millie is modeling one of the pieces she bought below!  Super cute.
School hoedown time!  Every year the drama teacher puts on this hoedown and teaches the kids country line dances.  It's fun...and funny!
Millie had a great time.  She loves the stage!
Syd, on the other hand, hates to perform in front of people.  She spent the morning stressing out and telling me she wasn't going to go out there.  It's a tough call as a parent.  We just try to encourage them to do their best; I mean, it's an arts school...there are going to be a lot of perfomances in the future.  I'm not sure how Sawyer talked her into it, but miraculously, Syd decided to perform at the last minute!
Syd went to the back row and she giggled through most of it!  Phew!
Best buds and cowgirls <3
Ohhhh boyyyy, the day before Thanksgiving break, I took the girls to see Frozen 2. It was so fun!  This is Dylan and Millie's Frozen face. ;)
Syd invited Sawyer and it was a pretty great way to kick off break!  We've been playing the new soundtrack nonstop since then...
Our family pics came back and are pretty great, if I do say so...love the bright colors this year!

Ugh...school projects.  Millie was tasked with building a replica of a pueblo dwelling.  Well, obviously, Millie can't do this alone.  Thankfully, JKK was willing to brainstorm and help her make it a reality.  It turned out great, of course!
Best buds headed to dance <3
This guy...always right in the middle of the bedtime routine.  I don't hate it. ;)
Turkey time!  Syd's handwriting is very neat!
