Millie's 9th Birthday

Big sister is NINE!  She's still kind and sensitive.  She loves to snuggle and adores being cozy.  A true lover of mac-n-cheese, ice cream, and pickles...also lots of popcorn and a good movie.  She's a wonderful big sister - protective and soothing when she needs to be.  She's full of joy for life and loves a good time.  She's truly the coolest, most unique kid I know.  She is happy to be herself and has just the right amount of confidence that a parent hopes for.  She's fashionable, social, and popular among the school crowd.  She's still our beautiful brown bear.  She's a good kid, and we are so thankful she's ours!

Mom and Dad's gift this year was a bunch of clothes and she loved it!

Cake for breakfast has sort of fallen by the wayside in favor of breakfast of choice.  Millie loves a good homemade waffle!

With COVID, we had to be careful about bday party plans and keep it small.  So we took our besties to the slime studio for a private party!  Boy, it was hot that day...so we were happy to be indoors!

It's quite a bit of work to make the slime, so Syd enlisted Nana's help.

The owners helped us learn how to make slime bubbles...so cool!  You can't tell, but this is Millie making a bubble.

I had to take a pic of Millie's first attempt at a thank you note for James.  Um, try again Mills. We laugh at Millie's impatience.  If she's not having fun, she won't be giving it her all.  True story.  However, she has found a more 2020 way to thank people: personal videos!  And she's REALLY good at them.  They are much better at showcasing her genuine thanks.

One of my favorites: two year old Millie and Beansie.  Lots of birthdays and memories at this house!
