January

Finally the kids are old enough to play Monopoly.  We bought a super fun Bob Ross version, and it was a hit with the girls!

Lily has decided this is her new safe space.
The game lasted days...as any good monopoly game should.
Happy half birthday to Millie Bear! 10.5 years old

January brought some cold weather and even a bit of snow!

Millie and Leah sporting their matching cozies on a sleepover night
skincare is all the rage with the young girls these days
Syd's art is pretty great
beautiful job, syd
Millie came to try an aerial yoga class with me - it was really fun!

The steel is up!  Progress.
The girls continue to love ice skating at the nearby rink.
Lily likes to go outside, but she now has to stay in her little hut.  She has jumped off the balcony a couple of times and she can't be trusted.
Millie started an off-season volleyball school.  Syd watched the first night and then decided she wanted to join too!
The weather has been pretty gnarly.
Oh look at this! Syd got some awards for her progress on MAPS testing!
Greetings from Ethyn and Bertie!

January's book club was at a friends house who acquired a new pup.  The sweetest!

For a few months, the girls got to attend a weekly volleyball school together.  Syd liked it because there were no games.  Hoping we can talk her into playing in a league with millie in the fall.
Date night in a limo!
We are celebrating Pete and Renee's engagement in style!
Pow wow at the Cruikshanks to make plans for our trip to London/Scotland.  Amanda is really in her element here!

Syd had an expander put in, and this is what it looks like.  Crazy.  It was pretty painful for a few days.
Syd came to try out the aerial yoga with me and Mills.  She liked it okay, but she didn't LOVE it like Mills.
Millie is so graceful
Bedtime spankings
A bit of virtual schoolwork here and there this winter.  There are no such things as snow days now that they can pivot to virtual.  Kind of sad for the kids.
Cat sitting in a box
We got Lily a cat stroller to take her outside with us.  Unfortunately, she hates cars, so the first outdoor walk didn't go so well.  She does enjoy an indoor stroll though.
On the 2nd anniversary of Jasper's death, we shared some memories and talked about how we miss him.
Back to the pond to throw in some memorial flowers, like last year.
Syd H came with us because she also lost some loved ones this year.

It's really lovely

She can make us laugh!
This girl is getting so spoiled.

After asking to get her hair colored for a few years now, I finally gave in.  Millie chose a teal color and Syd chose purple.  They turned out beautifully!

So bright!  They both loved it.
Shaina and Millie trying to take Lily for a walk (they came back within 5 minutes)
Look who turned 20 years old!  Nick and Jack!
Flashback....so precious.  Syd is in the corner holding a baby doll.
The girls and I started volunteering at a local cat shelter!  We love on the kitties and do a few chores once a week.  It feels good to help!

The last day of January the weather was in the 60s!  So of course we skipped school and went to the Tulsa Zoo with Syd H. to see the new baby rhino!

Hard to see but that's a baby tiger back there.

THE BABY RHINO WAS ADORABLE.  He sort of skipped everywhere, like he was in a good mood.

The perfect day with a good friend!
