Catchup

Doesn't that make you think of that tomato joke on Pulp Fiction?!  Catchup...ketchup...

A friend from Little Gym took this pic of Millie to try and photoshop her into a funny scene...just for practice, since she owns a photography business.  Millie's favorite dinosaur is a triceratops.  She loves looking at it. ;)
Millie's BFF from preschool, Hadleigh, turned 4 and celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese.  The girls love that place.  At least it's secure...I can never keep tabs on both of them at the same time.
Syd loved having her little boyfriend, Tate, there at the party.  They were born 2 days apart and go to MDO together on Thursdays.  They don't remember it, but they attended Little Gym together in utero (at their big sister's class).
We finally got to go camping this year!  Syd's hot dog eating face is pretty epic.
Syd showed how tough she was when she fell and busted her knee open on a hike.  She jumped up and said "I'm okay" with blood dripping down her leg.  Interestingly enough, her natal chart says she needs to be in natural environments and that camping will be good for her.  More on the natal charts later.
Surprise guest camping: MIDGE!  We had lots of fun around the campfire every night. ;)
JKK is such a good sport
Buddy is also a good sport when Midge comes to town
Millie's preschool practiced for weeks for their Spring Concert.  She looked extra cute that day and was so excited.
The place was so crowded, we could barely see.  I was a little embarrassed about crawling up the aisle on my hands and knees to take a short video.  I'm sure no one is surprised though.  JKK and I were so proud and smiling so big while watching her.  Video: Peace Like a River

Big news...I'm back in the work force!  Sort of.  Less than part time.  But I'm really enjoying it!  I'm an independent skincare consultant for Rodan + Fields.  I've been using this stuff for over a year and a half, and I love it!  So why not continue to use it and get paid for it?!  Win-win.  I had a launch party at my house in April; I was so nervous, but I think it was a success and a good jumping off point for my little biz.  Excited to see it grow.  And the best part is that I get to do it with family and hopefully see them way more often!
Fridays are walk days.  So excited to be back out there on the trail.  The girls still love it, and it's a fun way to start the day.
We went to the local Touch-A-Truck again this year.  Piddy was unimpressed with the fire truck.
So many cool things to do, other than just seeing the big trucks.  Millie had the best day ever.
Nana had a major back surgery at the end of April, so I flew with the girls up to Colorado to help her recuperate.  Help is such a strong word.  We invaded her house with all of our noise and dirty feet.  Thankfully, Nana was doing so well that she didn't really need our help at all and was very gracious about our mood-swings and mess.
The highlight of our day was seeing Ethyn and Kendyl in the evenings!
Family <3
Nana's playground has sand.  The girls loved it.  Nana's house may never recover.
The girls enjoyed being spoiled...complete with ice cream.
Aunt Leann "Lan", Kendyl, and Ethyn were so sweet to come take the girls to Chuck E. Cheese one night.  They had the BEST time and came home exhausted.  I had a lovely and QUIET Cinco de Mayo dinner with mom and Brandon.
And on one of Aunt Lan's worst days, she still took the girls swimming at the rec center.  #1 Aunt!!  I was so appreciative and the girls needed the energy release.
Millie would've stayed all night, but she fell and busted her lip on one of the slides.  The lifeguards had to perform a little first aid.  It was all very exciting.
Absolutely cracked me up that Millie wanted to wear her goggles.  This guy is the reason why.  He loves his goggles, and Mills is super duper impressed that he actually goes under the water.  I hope swim lessons will help her with that skill this summer.  Speaking of Cayden, only 1 month until we see them!!  Funny story: at the playground this week, Millie met a little girl.  She asked what her name was, and the little girl replied Payton.  Millie said "ohhh, I have a Cayden". ;)
On our last full day in Colorado, we took Millie to the movies!  Her first time in a theater; she did great.  It was a little long, so she migrated to my lap and ate her twizzlers from there.  Can't wait to take her again this Summer.
Then we went to Uncle B's house for a delicious pre-Mother's Day dinner

Headed home the next day, Nana had a special escort at the airport.  Millie totally dug it.  ;)
We woke up to snow, so our flight was delayed.  Seven days away from home; we were getting delirious.
Millie was DYING to see daddy.  She talked about him every single day, and thankfully, FaceTime made things a little better.  He met us at the security gate with flowers.  Sweetest daddy ever.
Back to school for Piddy the next morning.  I adore this little hand-me-down dress from Millie.  Our sweet Syd just turned two years old yesterday.  My baby is no longer a baby.
Guess who's starting some early stages of potty training??  She tells me when she needs a diaper change, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to get her used to sitting on the potty.  No, I'm not ready to take that on just yet, but she gets really excited to go sit for a minute.  It can't hurt, and who knows...maybe we'll have an easier time with this one!
It's been a good week.  Glad to be home and back in the routine.
The girls and I have enjoyed having Nana around too!
