Buddy Love: September 1997 - May 2015
Hundreds of furry memories and even more pictures (here are 99 of them!). Feels like he has always been around. There has never been a better little companion. I got him from the Stillwater Humane Society just as I began college in Sept. '97. He was hanging from the bars of the cage screaming at me, and he has been just as vocal every day since. He saw me through finding my independence and even some lonely times in college. He's been with me through breakups, graduations, moving cities and starting a real job. He definitely approved of JKK and loved his first house on 54th Place (so many trees, so many squirrels to watch!). Then on to a wedding and having a 3-legged dog move in the house....and finally he had to share me with two human babies. He stuck by my side and weaseled his way into my lap, baby be damned. He was a good sport with the girls and sort of loved the attention he gave them. He's been so special to me, and I often refer to him as my firstborn. In fact, I was so upset for him that I cried on our way home from the hospital with Millie. He took the changes in stride though, and really, I should thank him for teaching me to be a parent before I had my own babies. He was one of a kind. He will be missed so so much.
