Early Fall Catchup

Lots of birthday parties this fall!
The girls love Hadley and Anniston

They also love the Amazeum!

End of September and still getting pool time!
Milestone alert: Syd can ride her bike with no training wheels!!  It was kind of amazing.  Took two or three tries and she was off and never looked back.  For the rest of the fall, she zoomed all up and down our sidewalk, like a boss.  She's proud of herself!  Love this milestone - it's a fun one, as a parent.
daddy's girl, through and through <3
Fave song of 2017: Shut up and dance with me!
Syd making progress

Officially our last swim of the year.  It was chilly and they didn't stay in too long.
But the sun felt good and popsicles all around!
Can't believe she gets her head underwater now!
Syd has really responded to Mrs. Hanna's positive reinforcement punch cards.  Every time they mind well or listen to the teacher or do something kind, they get a punch.  When the card is full, they get to pick something from the treasure box!
Amber Lanning pics are in!  We started out at the Washington County Fair, but unfortunately, they hired a new company to do the fair this year and it wasn't that great for pics.  We got a few, but not many.  So we moved the shoot to Dickson and got some good ones!  Amber always gets good ones.  She's magical, I swear.

Kitties have loved watching birds from the sunroom.  Jasper is our runner though.  Every time the door opens, he bolts for it.  Scares me, he'll for sure be the first one to make it out without us knowing.  Hope he's tougher than he looks.
"the runner"
Fall weather finally arrived and Millie was thrilled to FINALLY get to wear her boots!
Check out Syd's name and creative coloring - and good job on those 2's!
Syd's new butterfly leotard is everything she dreamed of.  It's so silky smooth and she keeps running her hands up and down her belly.  Seeing her in this thing will make you smile.
besties
Millie's field trip to the pumpkin patch was super fun, as usual!

 Syd's favorite activity

This year, we went to a new place and it had an awesome trampoline-type thing for the kids to jump on - they loved it!

Millie reads books to us at night now!
Zoo day!!
Nana came with us
And Luc and Coco came too!  Love having my fave people in my fave place!  Luc is such a good sport about these pics I make him do. ;)
train ride!
This is Millie at six, in a nutshell.
Syd couldn't get enough of Coco
the Tulsa Zoo: our happy place

Afterwards, we headed over to Mimi and Pa's.  It's been a rough time for our Mimi lately and she needed extra hugs.
Papa just moved into the memory unit, and we are all heartbroken.  Mimi has been so strong for him. True love story. <3
At the first of October, I flew to Sonoma for a girls RF weekend.  First stop with Midge was OrangeTheory, of course...our newest obsession.
I love when I'm away and I get pics like this.  JKK said he found Lily like this in the sunroom.  Wonder how long Syd had her strapped in there. ;)
While mommy's away, the girls get spoiled with daddy outings.  Chuy's is still a favorite.
Midge and I made a dent in the wine.
I've said this before, but girls pay attention: YOU MUST MAKE GIRLFRIENDS.  So important.  This was the best trip!
Came home to two weeks of Millie on fall break!  She enjoyed helping me pick Syd up from school.  Notice the butt cup ;)
Fall weather means more bike rides!  Sometimes Syd preferred the trailer for naps.
Dylan came over for a playdate on fall break
Right before Mills gave up gymnastics.  She's in the pink leo.  Look at that form!  She's on the highest beam.  Wish she liked it more. :(
This girl, however, LOVES gymnastics still and can't get enough.  She is smiling the entire time.
Neighborhood garage sale produced some better skates for Piddy!  The girls are getting pretty good, rolling around the house all day.  They don't really take them outside much.
beautiful fall days are the best
sometimes we have popsicles leftover from summer that we need to get rid of
October 13th, Amanda's birthday, and we had to christen their new pool!  And by "we", I don't mean me.  It was super chilly, but the kids didn't mind so much.  Can't wait to spend all summer over there!  They have the best backyard.  It's massive.  I'm crossing my fingers for a playground, trampoline, misters, and obstacle course next. ;)
safety first
The girls waited a long time for this show!  Shopkins Live at the WAC!  Finley came with us, and it was so fun! (Notice Syd is sporting a shopkins tee)
Meet bubbleisha, jessicake, and peppa-mint
We ran into more friends there!  It was a silly show, but the girls loved it.  It's really cool that the WAC brings in so many kids shows.
When we take the kitties to the vet, the girls want to go to hang out with Trouble.  He lives at the clinic, battles diabetes, and weighs probably 30 pounds.  But he is the most lovable thing.
top knot on point!
Solo ride for us girls while Mills was on fall break.  I loved having some alone time with her!
they are always together
she kind of looks like an elf here, right?
Lake Atalanta with Marlowe while STILL on fall break.  Two weeks is a long time!
This cracks me up.  Sometimes we go out to eat with friends and give the kids the iPads so we can talk like adults and enjoy our meal.  True story.  Nothing beats the outdoor patio at Crabby's though.
Grandma Tricia and Papa came for a weekend in October.  It was glorious and we stayed outside the entire time!
Dad grew out his beard and I think he looks like Papa Smurf ;)
A rare super warm weekend in October even gets the ice cream truck out!
kitty wrangler
I want to make a book of their pics someday and call it the Rorschach test
so grown up lately, doesn't even need me for this thing anymore
Fun/helpful school project: made a fire safety plan for our family!
