I love that she practices starfish with her floatie on. ;)
The next weekend was JKK's birthday!
Thanks to Nana, I got to sweep JKK away to Chicago for a quick weekend getaway! First stop: Willis Tower (used to be Sears tower), which is where Bubba used to work. It was nice to think of him while we were in his old stomping grounds.
We rode bikes all around the city and Lake Michigan - the weather was gorgeous.Very thankful for this time away; we had a fantastic time! No schedule, no early wakeup call, no meal prep.
It was fun to FaceTime with the girls too though. Nice to getaway, but we also miss them so much. Gosh, how they love to have lounge time at Nana's. She's so good about letting them play and relax, which is exactly what they needed after a busy first month in school.
While in Chi-town, we saw a great concert on the water: Joywave (my fave!), Cold War Kids, and Young the Giant. So good. Concert partners 4 life!! <3
