March

Syd is really having a stellar year and making some wonderful downtown friends!

We brought fellow cat lovers, Coco and Luc, to visit the shelter cats with us!
They fit right in.

Back at aerial yoga with my big girl <3
This is us!
One last snuggle with the foster pups.  Good luck boys!

Spring is coming, we can feel it!

Last day of volleyball school - so fun!
Millie's makeup skills continue to evolve
Syd loves George so so much
Let's be honest, she loves all cats.  She begged to bring this one home and I almost let her!  But I think we want a dog...

pretty.
new peony mural in the background!
Finally baring these legs to some sun!

Checking out their rooms at the house!!

JKK's work crew
Old High or die!
Syd and Sawyer still get together periodically - still as sweet as ever
Wearing their green for St Patty's Day!

Headed to Tulsa to celebrate Grandma Tricia's birthday!

Syd needed a playground stop

Spring Break: the four, make that five, of us boarded an early flight to Miami Beach!!  We love it so much, we decided to go back not even three months after being there for Christmas break.

Back at The Confidante - zero complaints here!

Yes, it was just as magical as the last time!

These lifeguard stands make my day.

We all know that Sydney needs playground time, so we tend to find one in each city we visit.

I forced everyone to get up for a single sunrise while we were there and it was SPECTACULAR.

So grateful for my people that humor me.
I think we love our Miami Beach trips so much because they are good downtime for all of us.  It's a rare treat to just be together in a warm, tropical place where we feel safe and happy and loved.

A visit to the Miami Seaquarium was interesting!
We saw dolphins, manatees, stingrays, sharks, fish, penguins, and SEALS!

aka the sea cow - I'd really like to paddle board or kayak with these guys some day

Pharaoh was our (blind) seal that we got to hold and do a few tricks with.  It was a bit of a disappointing experience just due to the overcrowding.  It didn't feel like a meaningful experience and our trainer was getting annoying - with both us and the seal.  However, it was still cool to hold a seal!  She was beautiful and had these huge eyes, like puss-n-boots.

Treated ourselves to a little dinner on the water afterwards - we all loved it!

I wanted to get a walk in, so one morning, I walked all the way down to south beach and was surprised how different it looked than the area we were staying.  Kinda cool to see!
Last day!  Syd decided it was time to open up these coconuts that had fallen from the tree.
With plastic utensils.
She finally gave up after an admirable shot.
I went the easy route and ordered one from the bar ;)
No, we do not know this guy and his dog, but it was so entertaining to watch them all day.  He's doing a raspberry on the dog's belly here.  Not kidding.  JKK also had the pleasure of seeing this dog in the breakfast buffet line earlier that morning.

We did it up right.  See you soon Miami Beach!
How does Syd always get food around her mouth?!  Some things never change.
Headed home

Someone was happy to see us!

Progress!
Back to school - missing the vacation mode
Practicing her smile for school pics ;) She's debating trying to cross her eyes and make a funny face in the pictures.
Oh heyyyyy, headed to see Hamilton for the first time!  This is the most "Hamilton-like" outfit I could find.
Picking up my date
Yay!  It was so great!!
