Halloween week was also Red Ribbon Week at school this year. Each day had a dress up theme. First up: crazy socks and hair! Millie has a crazy side pony and Syd has colors in her hair.
I have never seen Millie do this before - cracked me upMillie's teacher is sooooo good about uploading photos to her class app!
Hawaiian theme day - we struggled with this one, but Mills found a tropical shirt and took a beach towel
Syd art! She had the best time making a skeleton cat in art this week that we haven't seen yet. She's excited to show it to us, so I'll post it then.
Syd's class finally got to Stellaluna. I remember Millie loving this book, and Syd has enjoyed it too! Mrs. Lamp decorated Syd's classroom like a bat cave for halloween!
Pajama day is their FAVORITE!
looking cozy at b-ball practice
Look! This is Sage's older sister and the picture caught me in the background doing my assistant coach thing! So fun being a part of the team. Although I won't do this forever, since we plan to change schools, I am so glad I chose to volunteer for the team the past two years. It has been so rewarding!
Finally, it's costume day at school! Syd is our little witch and Millie found the coolest Medusa costume!
She really pulled it off!
However, this is what it has to look like at school. Wah-wahhhhh, dumb masks.
Their teachers did an incredible job making the fall parties fun for the kids! The girls said the day felt almost normal. And those teachers didn't even have help since the parents can't come into the school this year. Syd said it was the best day of her life! ;)
When I picked them up from school that day, Millie walked out of school with these ear buds in...looking like a true teen. She won them at school: best costume in her class!!
Quick playdate with Syd H., since Millie went to Sage's for a sleepoverHalloween is here - time to trick-or-treat! Look at those witch shoes! Sadly, Millie chose to stay another night at Sage's house and trick-or-treat with her. This was the first year we didn't see her on Halloween! Felt so strange. Thus, we took our only child and went to Paul and Emily's to trick-or-treat with some friends in our old hood, and she had a great time! I think she did miss Millie though...
Sage's dad did send me some pics. Since trick-or-treating was a little frowned upon this year due to COVID, people got really creative in handing out candy so that they didn't get too close!

The weather was great this year! The Syds were able to meet up!
Gotta wear that mask when going to the door
Mills had a great time with Sage - glad she could do big kid stuff this year
Trading candy - a great night!
