Johnny Boy turns 50! He's our best guy - our sole source of testosterone in this household. He's brave, he's handy, he's always up for an outing/bike ride/walk/trip to the playground, & he's the quietly cerebral one. He loves ice cream and sunshine and smoking stogies on the balcony. He loves trips to wine country and dinner on the patio. I'm pretty sure he's an introvert, but he's also so good at being "the fun one". He sets a classy tone in our house and is quite eloquent with the written word. He's a wonderful, hands-on father and a gracious, supportive husband. He's got crazy strong thighs and my favorite thing is when he gives a full wheezing belly laugh. I'm so grateful we share a similar sense of humor, parenting-style, and attitude of work/life balance. Lately, we've found we are even in sync when it comes to our COVID lifestyle. He's my perfect match and I feel lucky to call him mine. Annette picked a good one, and I wish she was here to see him today. To say she would be proud is a given, but to say she would also really like him is so cool.
A bit hazy and smoky from the nearby wildfires
The girls were able to keep in touch with us on their iPads this time, which was really cool! We laughed at a lot of their texts and it helped to miss them a tiny bit less. Until Syd sent things like "I just want a hug so bad". Piddy!!
Look at this guy. Love him so...we all do. Cheers to you, JKK!
