It's Fall, which means PICTURE TIME! JKK's favorite day of the year ;) The older the girls get, the tougher it is to coordinate outfits because they definitely have an opinion on what they wear. Millie completely rejected my outfits I brought home for her, so we had a last minute trip to Dillard's. Syd's dress was green and Millie fell in love with a red dress...I was worried it would look Christmas-y, but I think it turned out okay! And besides, they will feature on our Christmas Cards, so actually works out great. Here they are ready to go! This was Syd's best photo shoot yet. She felt cute and confident and had a lot of fun with it. Millie always has fun with it, so no worries there. But this year, we brought baby sister into the mix and she killed it!
Syd's therapist has been talking a lot about filling up her little love cup. Syd has separation anxiety and needs more attention from me so that when I leave her at school or go to basketball games, she still feels the love. So we've been snuggling more and having fun with the weather report on her back and pretend massages. Millie's been getting into it also!
The girls and I REALLY enjoyed the Father of the Bride 3 mini movie! We just love those Banks!
Syd has been on a drawing kick lately. Partly fueled by her teacher assigning these how-to-draw YouTube videos. Look at this incredible Statue of Liberty drawing!
Great weather means patio time. Sometimes we head back to the old hood for Chuy's patio.
And when there, we always say hello to Beansie!!
Syd's reading is really progressing!
Nana took us girls to the drive-in to see E.T.
It was a fun night and you know how much we adore E.T. Thanks Walmart for making our lives better!
Morning brunch date with my guy. Big news around here: we can leave the girls home alone for an hour or so while we go do things they don't want to do. Life-changing!
Syd's drawings from class - finish the other half. So good!
On a random Target trip, Syd picked out her Halloween costume - a witch! On a random Saturday afternoon, we broke it in!
Millie hadn't picked her costume yet, so she busted out an old Cleopatra Egyptian Princess costume.
Still fits her...in more ways than one.
Baby Sister can't get enough of the balcony!
Syd's birthday card for Ms. Amanda was perfect and picture-worthy
Lily donning the cape costume Nana sewed for my old Bonnie!
Bee Kind.
This girl is so tenacious with a wiggly tooth!

Waiting for therapy <3
snapchat can see her future!
We convinced Brandon and Leann to come for a visit in October, rather than November. The weather is nicer and it was their kids' fall break. Worked out great! Sadly, Hazel departed a few weeks before...not a great fit for Nana, so Crazel went to live with another family. We won't talk too much about that....and how heartbroken the girls were. It's part of life. My girls love dogs so much though, so it was awesome that B & L brought their three doggies to visit!
Poor JKK was in the middle of quarter-end at work and wasn't able to hang out too much.
Me and my vein (and Ty). Random info for the girls: this vein in my forehead is so pronounced now that I've gotten older (started popping up in pics late 30's). The doctor assures me it doesn't mean I have a brain tumor.
We played games, worked puzzles, cooked lots of food, and enjoyed spending time together. It's sooooo gooooood for my girls to get family time like this. Hate that we live so far from all of their cousins, but it's so special when we do get to hang out. I think the girls appreciate it more!
Kendyl teaching the girls a few things about makeup - so pretty Mills!
Wicked cool Syd! We all watched Beetlejuice one night, and the girls loved it. Dayyyy-o!
Ethyn - our college frat boy - quick to laugh, a good helper, kind and cute to boot
Kendyl - junior in high school - smart, responsible, mature - beautiful inside and out
Fun at The Momentary
The balcony above the garage is perfect for hellos and goodbyes...
Girl Scouts outing to Camp Noark to ride horses! Syd was THRILLED.
She learned how to brush a horse, feed and water the horses, etc.
And then she got to ride! I'm gonna ride....I'm riding freeeeeeee. (Spirit song running through my head all day). This is Chili, the horse!
I got to lead her around and we even raced some of the other girls with a game of red light, green light. It was such a special day for Syd. She's an animal lover and this was so cool for her! Glad I got to share it with her.
We've moved on to masking the stuffed animals now too ;)
Millie has been loving piano class this year!
