It's December 1st - and voila! Juniper and Jasper are right on time! This year they brought some fun gourmet marshmallow advent calendars!
It kills me to see her on her phone. It's hard to wrap my mind around her already having one when I didn't get one until college. A lot of parenting is saying "we didn't have that when I was a kid, and I turned out just fine". Truly though, the phone does seem to add stress...it comes with an expectation that everyone should be on call and answer texts immediately. These days, kids can also see when others are hanging out together WITHOUT YOU, and that sort of drama has already started. It's hard to be a middle school girl.
The ice rink season pass doesn't let us down! This is Marian - Syd's class bestie.

My dear friend Ashley had twins in February 2021...and I didn't get to meet them until December 2021 due to stupid COVID. So good to finally see them and visit Austin!
Her first babies, Trotter and Wilco, are having quite the adjustment.
The stars of the show: Ruthie and Remy. I loved being around some sweet 9 month old babies again. It also reminded me of how exhausting it was at times...imagine two at once!
While I was gone, JKK took the girls to our athletic club for gingerbread cookie decorating! Kind of a big deal because kids aren't allowed at Blake St normally.

The girls had a sleepover at Nana's and she gave them their Christmas presents a few days early. Vintage phones and purses for the win!
While the girls were at Nana's, JKK and I met the Cruiks for a festive night out. We had dinner and then went for drinks at a silly Christmas pop up bar. Tis the season!

Oh no, poor Baggy hates to leave the house. This is her stressed face. She's gotta go stay with Nana for a week while we are on vacation. Thankful Nana allows her to come visit! It only takes Lily about 4 days to warm up ;)

Millie put on the nails she got in her stocking and they are actually super cool. I mean, way weird to see her with these long nails, but she feels fancy and they look kinda beautiful.
