Millie...Close-Up

I forget to take close-up pics of this sweet little face.  Usually, I'm more concerned with snapping her while in action.  I must remember to do this more often.  swoon...

Brrrrrrrrrr

I don't take many gym pics these days.  I usually don't even take my phone in the room because all of the kids flock to it like little moths.  However, I did take a few last week, so here they are:
Cayden and Mills
sweet boy
crazy beast
she's dancing while playing with the balls...sometimes, she just can't help herself
break time.  we're still working on transitioning down to one nap, and by the end of class, Mills is wondering where her morning nap is...
bubble time
Mills throwing her hands up, like "can you believe this bubble craziness?!"
and this is how we eat breakfast these days...
just right in the middle of the kitchen floor, with a few cat naps thrown in here and there
Last Saturday, we did a little mini photo session with Amber Lanning.  The point was to get a pic for our Christmas cards....of just Millie.  JKK and I didn't plan to be in the pics, but Amber took a few family shots anyway.  So...those should be interesting.  I think we got a lot of good pics of Mills though...can't wait to see them.  Since the shoot was in Springdale, we had to eat at AQ chicken afterwards.  Millie ate ALL of her kids plate.  I'm sure she'll be expecting fried chicken strips and green beans soaked in bacon grease and white dinner rolls from now on. :)
Beansie Louise has really been enjoying this nice fall weather.
So has Mills...looks like it might be over though, the cold front has hit today and we stayed in our jammies until 3.
i do not love spaghetti night clean-up
Uh...guess we found a use for all of those baby food pouches we never used.  Mills like to suck one down every morning.  Kind of weird, but she's getting her morning fruit this way. ;)
Ahhh, Mills...I think the days of short-sleeves are over for the next 6 months. Boooo...

MDO Update

Millie has been doing fantastic at Mother's Day Out!  It took about a month before she seemed to start liking it, and then the past two weeks when I've dropped her off, she hasn't even cried!  I'm amazed and pleased and just feel so much better leaving her knowing that she likes it there.  She really likes her teacher, Ms. Ericka...and she tends to spend a lot of time in her lap. ;)  There is a window that I can watch from, so I've seen them playing peekaboo and other games.  And of course, I love it because I get so much done on Thursdays.

Every week, Ms. Ericka says Millie does better and better.  She also said Mills really loves having a routine...she knows that after buggy time, it is lunchtime...and she knows that after lunchtime, it is naptime.  She said that she walks over to the same crib every time and sits down to start taking her shoes off.

Here is a pic from the school newsletter...cracks me up that the kids are all so serious.  Mills is second row, left side (with the bink in, of course).

Recent artwork:

A couple of weeks ago, they had school pictures taken.  The director said Millie wouldn't let them take her bink out, so those should be interesting.  I'll be sure to post when I get them. ;)

Currently

Amanda has a much better camera and way better photography skills than I do.  She gave me this pic of our family...and you can also check out her hilarious post (with more pics of Mills & Cayden) from the pumpkin patch Click Here.
Oh. My. Goodness.  Millie is OBSESSED with Buddy and Beansie's cornholios.  She wants to get down on their level and get a good look...then she wants to poke at it.  Sigh...I keep saying "No, that's yucky and shooey".  I hope this perverted interest doesn't last long.
Millie Marie won't leave a bow or barrette in her hair very long at all.  So I've resorted to these tiny rubber bands that she can't pull out.  However, they tend to be a bit wonky after naptime.

Big News: Mills now slides by herself!  Video of Sliding Action  JKK showed her how this past weekend, and now she thinks it's the bees knees.  I was scared to let her go alone, but she's adamant about going, so I feel better being on this end where I can catch her if something goes wrong.
she giggles on the way down...which makes me giggle.  she's so cute.
Mills can't get enough of dad zooming her around in the car
he seriously goes really fast!
 This means: turn Elmo on!
This face says:  OMG, I love Elmo! (and she always dances to the music...La la la la, la la la la, Elmo's World...)
Beansie's own personal hell...Millie thinks it is hilarious to terrorize our poor doggy with this popper.  Can you see Beansie exiting the path?
Last weekend, I was third wheel to Amanda and Heath at Heather's Wedding. ;)
KK, Heather (the beautiful bride), Amanda, and Brandy - Do you know the last time I wore heels?!  Well, I'll tell you...it was the last wedding I attended in Sept 2011.  Needless to say, my dawgs were woofing. ;)
It was fun to get out of the house for a night with friends...too bad JKK couldn't be my hot date, but he was our babysitter.  wah wahhhhh

Pumpkin Patch

Looks like we've got ourselves a tradition: to visit the pumpkin patch each year!  We took Millie last year when she was only 3 months old...my how things have changed in a year.  Last year, she was just a little blob that we could plop down anywhere to take her picture.  This year...she wouldn't sit still and wanted no part of pictures (& wouldn't let us take her bink out).  To be expected at this age, I suppose...

3 months old with her super cute black cat onesie....awww, chunky monkey
15 months old and looking so grown up...awww, dimple

Cayden, Amanda, and Heath met us at the patch this year so that we could get some pics of the kiddos together.  Cayden was like a baby model, sitting there all perfect-like and smiling on cue.  Millie could stand to take a few posing tips from him. ;)
It's so funny to watch them and imagine what they are saying to each other...
gonna go ahead and pick that one up
clearly, my photography skills need some work, but isn't this funny?!
bock bock bock
of course she falls right as she gets near a mud puddle
mr. photogenic
while C was posing, M was climbing

I hope we get to do this every year and take their picture by this sign!

At home after placing our pumpkins on the porch (oops, her eyes are closed)
Unrelated to the pumpkin patch, but possibly the most disgusting pic we have of our greasy little beast.  This morning, before her bath, I managed to snap a pic of this wicked bedhead.  We usually take a bath every other day, but yesterday, we decided to skip it and be lazy.  Uh...probably shouldn't do that unless we want her to look like a dirty little monster.  She's even sort of making an evil little monster face.  Sheesh, lighten up Mills ;)
