Thanksgiving at School

Syd had pajama day on Monday...this might be one of my favorite pics ever.  Minnie Mouse "jammas" and kitty slippers.
She made us a turkey leg ;)
Thanksgiving placemat with a very serious pic of Syd
Millie had a Thanksgiving party yesterday at school.  I signed up to bring a dessert, and I saw these cookies on Pinterest that I thought looked easy.  Stuff an oreo with some candy corn and be done, right?  Nope.  Way more involved than that.  Plus it was almost impossible to find candy corn this time of year.  Anyhoo, they turned out pretty cute and the kids loved them...but never again.
Daddy stayed home with Syd Pid napping, so it was just me and Mills.  She had a great time!
Lily Kate, Mrs. Kim, and Millie
we made these handprints at the party
This is Millie's turkey from earlier in the week.  Pretty cool...they colored with marker and then got it wet.
I'm not actually sure what is going on here...
Millie has mastered the letter "T" and likes to write it for us.  We hear "watch this" about a million times a day; this one has many talents that she loves to demonstrate.  I can get nothing done with her awake. ;)
I don't know.  A+ for creativity
We're headed to St. Louis tomorrow to spend the holiday with friends and family!  I hope we have pie every day.  I'm thankful for pie.

18 Month Pediatrician Appt

I took Syddles to her 18 month pediatrician appointment yesterday morning.  It was during her morning nap time, so she was in a terrible mood the entire time and refused to cooperate.  It was fun.
Stats: 28 pounds (95th percentile), 33 inches (83rd percentile), 48.5 cm head circumference.  She's a tad fluffy.  Ain't nothing wrong with that.
Not much to report...we're so grateful to have two healthy girls!

School Artwork

I know these artwork posts are a little long and boring, but I figure I can take pics of the artwork to post here and then I don't have to physically keep it.  Millie brings home tons of stuff everyday and I only post a small percentage of what she brings home.  She likes to recycle it, so once I've gone through and taken pics of what I choose, she gets it all to draw or paint or practice with her scissors.

Wednesdays they wear their school shirts
she calls this "her number"

I know it may not look like it, but she's getting much better at coloring in the lines!
one stray dot...was that on purpose?
These are some pics her teacher took in class; she's so kind to do this for us and send them out.
Mrs. Kim commented how this was one of her favorites with Millie lining everything up in neat rows.

one of my own favorites ;)
her friends Noel and Lily Kate

And now for Syd Pid's artwork:
