If I Had a Dollar...

...for every time I've asked Millie "what are you eating?!" so far today, I'd probably have $13.  Our floor has been swept and mopped in the past 24 hours also, so it's very confusing...and worrisome...and gross.

Birthday Party prep is in full swing around here.  I'm beginning to find my inner crafty lady.  It's been fun!  I'm never making paper rosettes again, but so far that's been the only thing that I haven't enjoyed making.  I'm not really the surprise kind of gal, so I feel like it's okay to go ahead and show some pics of my progress.  Not gonna show the paper rosette project yet though because it still isn't finished.  Ugh...

I found a lady at etsy.com who puts together the cutest listing of birth stats...hard to believe it has been almost a year!

I've been making Millie wear her birthday crown (another etsy find) to desensitize her to it being on her head...sometimes she forgets about it, but most of the time she pulls it off.

JKK's been on vacation this week...it's been nice having him home, but I know it wasn't the type of vacation he had in mind.  I've been throwing projects at him right and left. :(

Speaking of dada...he got to come to the Little Gym with us this week!

and he's also gotten to go on some morning walks (with our new jogging stroller!)

Sunday, we made a lightning quick trip to Tulsa to meet Oliver!  Almost exactly a year ago, my cousin Lacy and I had a joint baby shower in Tulsa.  Since they live in Houston, this was the first time we've gotten to see each other (& the babies!) since last June.  Oh my goodness, he didn't disappoint.  Oliver is just so handsome and charming...makes me sad that we can't live closer so that the kiddos could grow up together.

Brobeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

I found this silly looking Brobee pillow at walmart.  Brobee is one of the characters from a Nick Jr. TV show called Yo Gabba Gabba that Millie really enjoys.  In fact, it is the only TV show that she will watch.  We used to put her in the jumperoo to watch some "Yo", but the days of the jumperoo are long gone.  Now, she really only watches it while getting her diaper changed.  I know how ridiculous that sounds, but we have just recently gone through another horrible bout of diarrhea from trying the milk-based formula...again.  I guess we'll be going to see the allergist after her one-year pediatrician appt at the end of July.  Anyhoo, Yo Gabba Gabba was a good distraction for all those painful diaper changes; we've all become very fond of the strange little creatures in Gabbaland. :)

Somebody Got Their Hair Did!

Millie had her first haircut today!  She was good and only started to get a bit squirmy towards the end, but it really didn't take all that long.  And there wasn't much to shape up in the first place...those front pieces were really long and stringy though, so I had her whack those off.  We went to Pigtails and Crewcuts, a kids' haircut place in Fayetteville.  They gave us a memorabilia card with a picture and some clippings of her hair.  Awww...

Cousin Time

Last weekend, Collen, Daniel, and Lucas came to visit.  We swam for a bit at the neighborhood pool...then went out to eat at Tusk and Trotter (which was good!).  It was a lovely day with them, as usual.  Those boys are growing up so fast...and per Colleen, a certain one of them has the teenage attitude to prove it. ;)  Although we don't see it; they both act like perfect little angels when they are here with us.  So glad they allow their mom to drag them out to Arkansas fairly regularly...
