Summertime part 1

Way back in June, we found a new swimming hole!  It's a local place near Bella Vista called the Blue Hole where the local kids jump off the cliffs and the water is ice cold.  We went with neighborhood friends and had a great time eating a picnic, trying to catch fish in our nets, and jumping off (the much smaller) cliffs.

It also happens to be located near a haunted house, which the kids swear we are going to visit in October.  But yeah...no...definitely not.

Another Nana sleepover where mommy gets to stay too.  So glad we had these nights together this summer!  Mom and I watched several classic movies this summer together.

Syd said she had never seen a firefly before, so we made sure to remedy that.  The girls had the best time catching fireflies by the pond this summer!  We've always loved our backyard view!

Father's Day!  We love celebrating JKK and all he does for us.  Such a good daddy...

Trying to fit in as much neighbor time as possible before we leave at the end of July, so we invited Syd H and her parents down for s'mores and firefly catching!

We all loved having one more summer in our comfy home with so many memories.

Reading upside down, we'll take it.  Millie is certainly a competent reader, she just doesn't enjoy it. 

Our neighborhood park re-opened!  COVID shut down all of the playgrounds for many months, so the girls were excited to finally get some play time

Beck got an electric guitar for his bday, so we amped him up and let him go.  FREEBIIIIRRRRD!

Beck requested a tent camping situation for his bday and Amanda delivered!  You can order anything these days.  There is a service that comes out to set up a tent for a night and stocks it with beds, A/C, s'mores stuff...it's incredible.  We didn't stay the night, but Beck had fun sleeping out there with the fam!

Millie and Brinnlie became fast friends this summer, just in time for us to move out of the neighborhood unfortunately.  Sweet girls, at least they had a few fun months together.  <3

This summer we really took advantage of the evening swim time.  So much better than baking out there during the mid-day!  It was really relaxing for all of us.  And once July hits, mommy actually gets in the water too (once it warms up to bath water temp).
