Happy Valentine's Day!

I love how the girls sweet little tees came out.  Shopping has really changed with the social media takeover.  I saw these on Instagram, left a comment with the sizes I needed, and an invoice came to my email.  Voila!  JKK's probably a little scared how easy they make it for me to impulse spend.

Millie also wore this shirt to school yesterday...she looks so old in this pic!
Millamonster's valentines for her classmates turned out pretty cute, if I do say so.  They were super easy!

Grey sent Mills and Syd these adorable dinosaur valentines <3
This morning we went to Little Giggles for playtime!
We saw Millie's teacher, Ms. Kimber, there...it was nice to have a little unofficial conference about Mills.  She seems to genuinely enjoy Millie, which is always nice for peace of mind.  Thankfully, she said Millie is only super bossy with Sawyer.  Ha!  This made me laugh.  She said they act like brother and sister with each other.  Below is the craft Mills brought home yesterday, and we even discussed it.  I've always sort of wondered how much involvement Millie has in some of these crafts, since she can't use scissors yet.  Kimber said the kids like to glue the pieces on though.  So...nice work glueing, Mills!
When Papa and Grandma Tricia were here last weekend, I was telling them how I worry that Millie is going to be bossy.  She reeeeally likes to tell Beansie to sit in time out.  The next day, Tricia sent me a text with this pic, which I think is super sweet.

Love is in the air...

It's Valentine's week!  Doesn't it make you want to squeeeeeze someone?!  Me too.  Get over here, JKK.  Yesterday when I picked Millie up, she hugged me and said "I love you".  I teared up.  Oh my goodness, how I love that kid.  This is the first time she's initiated the I love you exchange.  Sad (because it goes by so fast) but also rewarding to see them grow up!

Isn't the word "mole" just gross?  I hate to taint the blog by talking about moles, but it needs to be said: if you are mole-y, like me, go get yourself checked by a dermatologist annually.  I just had another atypical mole cut off my arm in January.  Last Friday, I had the stitches taken out, and since we were in Fayetteville for my appointment, we went to Boingo Bounce!  So much fun.  It's a place for kids that has a bunch of those huge bouncy castles and slides.  This time, Syd was old enough to take inside and jump a little.  We all had a great time!

Saturday, we went to Lucy's fairy birthday party where Syd got her very own pair of tiny fairy wings!  It was so thoughtful of them to include Syddles.
It was hard to get a good shot of Millie; she had such a good time flitting around with her wand and wings.
Yet she always has a second to spare to pull the dog's hair...
Then we got to see Papa and Grandma Tricia for a quick visit...always thankful for visitors!
Millie's "cheese" face is getting more and more ridiculous ;)
Millie loves to make rainbows
I was nervous about starting up bath time together, but it has been working out really well.  Both girls seem to enjoy it.
Rough morning for Syd here...she had her first bloody nose.  I'm not pointing any fingers, but her sister may have had something to do with it.  I was out of the room at the time, but Millie looked awfully guilty when I came to pick up a screaming Syd.  I think she fell (or was pushed) into a block. Sidenote: I've been trying to train Syd's hair to go to her right side, but it keeps going back to this 80's feathered look.
When I go to pick up Millie from school, this is what always happens....the big brothers and sisters are always excited to see their baby siblings.  Cracks us moms up and is so sweet to witness.
My favorite time of day:  our after dinner playtime upstairs with daddy.
The girls get silly and we usually have some music playing...
...we call it nighttime naked time.
Check out how well Syd is standing on her own in these pics!
Ta-da!!
Whoops...it usually doesn't last long though.  She's fine, don't worry. ;)
We finally finished our coffee filter butterflies that we painted at Cayden's house a couple of months ago.  Beautiful, yes?  Speaking of Cayden, we FaceTimed today (our 3rd time with them), and they seem to be doing really well!  It is Summer down there in Sao Paulo, so it is strange to see them in tank tops and shorts, looking a little dewy with the windows open.  It is wonderful to see their faces though...Beckham has changed so much!  There is a possibility that Amanda and the boys will be back for 2 months this Summer; keeping our fingers crossed!

Video 5: Millie playing with Syd...sort of

Just a little glimpse into our life lately. ;)

Currently

We've been spending way too much time in our house lately due to more snow.  We're all bored and a bit cranky...mostly because if Millie doesn't do any physical activity in the morning, she doesn't take a good nap. ;)  At least she still takes a nap at all...there's the silver lining.  Also on a positive note, all of this being stranded at home has been great for Syd.  She's been doing all sorts of new things: crawling and cruising around...so she has really needed her naps at home in her crib.  I would post some video of her, but I'm still unable to figure out this iMac business.  I may need to look into taking a class.  Even my beloved Google isn't helping me figure out how to upload videos to youtube.  I feel like kicking the dog.  ARGGGHHHHHH.

It's been nice having two kids this winter, since they are able to entertain each other to some extent.  This pic is one of my favs...Syd is so happy.  They play with these Duplo blocks every day; Millie builds stuff and Syd gnaws on the blocks.
hey...remember the blue dino?!  Syd's a fan...
Millie is always asking us to set Syd down with her....then within seconds, she wants her off.
She's happy 99% of the time.
The other 1% she lets us know in a very loud way.  So. Loud.  Don't even think about putting her in the jumperoo or walker anymore...
I had no idea Millie knew what a superhero eye mask was, but she asked me to put this on at Little Giggles last week.  Then she ROARed...like a lion.  Weirdo.
Syd has been taking dinnertime cat naps again this past week.  She's just so exhausted from all of her new physical milestones.
Last week, Millie had her first experience playing dress up at a friend's house.  She did not enjoy it.  I think it was just very confusing to her.  She kept pushing Elle away when we tried to get them to take a pic.  Isn't Elle sweet though?!  She's about 7 months older than Millie and a pro in the dress-up department (and picture-posing dept).  We have a lot to learn.
Rather than dressing up, Millie prefers to go sans clothes.  There's snow on the ground and we can't keep her clothes on.
This is so them.  Personality summation in one pic.
This is the only way Syd will get near the jumperoo these days, but look how proud she is!
After naps, Syd likes to hang with Glory the gloworm; I always find her manhandling Glory when I turn on the light.  For some reason, it always cracks me up.
I hope they are best friends.
Day 2 of my couch-to-5K training!  Thank goodness we have a treadmill because I wouldn't be out there hoofing it in this snow.  I've booked my first race for April 5th!  Feel free to come jog it with me...
Another good reason to run...Millie loves to make cupcakes!

Syd's Tutu Pics

When Millie was a baby, I had nothing better to do than dress her up and take pics.  Now, there never seems to be a good time to do that with Syd.  I've managed to always get her monthly pics done on time, but that's about it.  Well, I decided I needed a few pics of Syd in Millie's old tutu before she grew out of it.  Good thing I finally stuffed her into it because it would've been a lost cause in a few more weeks. ;)  Have I said before how much I love having a juicy baby?!
