Christmas season

It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year!  Sort of.  If it wasn't so cold...

Millie loves candy canes.  Millie's favorite ice cream is mint chocolate chip, and she prefers minty to fruity toothpaste.  Thin mint cookies are a favorite, and she even loves minty gum.  Give her ALL the mint stuff (and ALL the iPad time).
A rare picture of my brother's offspring. ;)  love them so...
K was in 8th grade this year and E was a junior
Gotta get your hair did during nighttime book time
Brown day at school!
Look who showed up right on time - Dec 1st!  Jasper and Juniper brought the chocolate advent calendars the girls love so much too!
The four of us got away to Tulsa for a night to celebrate Heath's 40th bday!
The girls had fun at Nana's, of course.  They love decorating gingerbread houses.
Our local theater is so good about bringing children's shows.  We got to see a live production of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!  It was so fun!  The girls are mesmerized at these live shows.
Afterwards, we went to see the Stuart family light show in fayetteville.
It definitely didn't disappoint.  Massive!  We walked through with hot chocolate and the girls even got to ride a train.

The cats spent the holiday season INSIDE of our christmas tree.  Every day, I had to remove a few more ornaments for fear of them breaking them.  By Christmas day, our tree was bare and leaning noticeably to the side.
Comfy?
This school year, we spent a LOT of time with little miss McCall.  Syd's best friend in her class became her true friend for life.  These two have been inseparable.  I've loved spending time with them outside of school, taking them to gymnastics and playdates.  Sweet girls <3
Millie lost two bottom teeth!  Sort of.  Actually, the two adult teeth starting growing in behind the baby teeth, so we had to have the dentist remove the baby teeth.  She was scared, but thank goodness daddy came in to be with her.  It was quick!
And then she was so proud and ready to put her teeth under her pillow that night!
The tooth fairy took pity on her for such a traumatic first time losing baby teeth ;)
I like to periodically put pics of the collage wall in here for the sake of memory.  I love seeing how it has grown and changed over the years.  When we build our new house, I'm asking for a big blank wall like this to continue on the collage.  It makes me so happy to look at it.
So gentle with her baby Lily
Syd has started drawing people!
The girls have long hair and apparently we don't have legs.  It's so neat to see her make our little family!
Getting better at writing her name!
whoa those 6's are a bit crazy - and always with the rainbow coloring
 look at these snowmen!
I just adore this little reindeer that Millie drew!

hey big boy
Lily was letting me cradle her while watching TV one night.  I looked at JKK and said this is why I wanted a cat again.  And he took a picture. ;)  I love cats!
birthday party with friends

Memories from ten years ago...tiny ethyn and kendyl <3
Wonder with our besties
Syd is pretty much a wreck when I pick her up from school on tuesdays and thursdays.  These are her extended days, and she just can't hang.  The meltdown this particular day was caused by a broken candy cane. :/  I'm nervous about kindergarten and having to stay five full days...
pajama day at gymnastics for these blondies
Do you know how many times Syd requested this song in the month of December?  Probably 1,000
silly elves
nope
oh dere...
yin and yang
I just love this pic of Syd.  She loves having her hair in two braids this year.  She loves getting to wear pajamas to school.  And she loves parties!
our beloved Asher moved away :(  it was a hard transition for us when they left.  Millie played with Asher almost every day, and she has been very lonely.
Time for Millie's pajama day!
Millie really wants that lap top.  sigh....
Santa didn't end up bringing it this year.  Guess he knew she wasn't ready.
Quick visit from Kendyl and Leann!
The first graders got to ride the Christmas Train!  Syd and I tagged along...
Dylan, Millie, Sophia, and Sage (back row)
Don't stop believin'

Fits right in with the big kids
Mrs. Steele even got to tell Santa her Christmas wish!

Next stop was lights at Woolaroc with the Wilsons!  This is their family tradition and we finally got to come along!
Syd already had her pajamas on - this kid loves to sleep
It was beautiful!  When you leave, there is a (real live) Native American man riding horse through a field, both wrapped in lights.  It was crazy cool!
Sometimes the elves spoil the girls.  They brought them some Descendants barbies to play with!
Syd's ornament she made me at school
Coco and fam came to visit and decorate more gingerbread houses with us!
Violet and Dan are pretty adorable
Luc is pretty adorable too.  We are so happy to get to spend time with them.

Everyone decorated a sugar cookie also
extra extra sprinkles please
